Administration Support Officer


Location: Lower Hutt Hospital

Contract: Permanent, Part Time – 0.7 FTE

About the Role 

Are you an empathetic person who is experienced and motivated? We are looking for an administrator to join our friendly team. The position involves frontline reception, along with administration support and responding to telephone enquiries with a friendly professional manner. There is a large variety of general office tasks, excellent computer skills are essential.

About the Team/Service Location 

This is an opportunity to be part of a small friendly team working in the Therapy Department consisting of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Therapy and Hand Therapy.  We also cover the Older Person Rehabilitation Service, which includes Geriatrician Services located at Hutt Hospital. The ability to work more hours as they become available.

These are both are busy departments where you will be working alongside professional friendly teams that have a can do attitude, where patients are valued and made welcome. 

We need someone who has:

  • Strong customer service with experience relating to a wide range of ethnic groups
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Excellent front line reception and telephone manner
  • The ability to work autonomously and also as part of the team
  • Excellent computer skills, Microsoft suite, Single Clinical Portal, WebPAS
  • The ability to deliver a high standard of work with excellent attention to detail
  • Previous knowledge and experience in a health environment would be of advantage
