ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity available within the Perioperative Department, Anaesthetic Technician team at Hutt Valley DHB. This is a fast-paced, quality driven, patient focused environment, with a dynamic and supportive team.

We need proactive and quick-thinking Anaesthetic Technicians who want to expand their skill-set.

The Anaesthetic Technicians at Hutt Valley DHB are a close-knit team and work within a supportive, approachable and sociable environment. Our large operating theatres have views and are equipped with Aysis Carestation 2 anaesthetic machines.

Hutt Valley DHB is a dynamic and innovative provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery involving multi-disciplinary teams; along with services for obstetrics and gynaecological, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental, maxillofacial, ophthalmology and acute services.

To join us you will need to have the following;

  • Current registration and Annual Practicing Certificate with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council.
  • A high level of professionalism and communication, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent crisis-management skills.
  • Ability to work on a rostered and rotating basis with an on-call service for overnight cover.
