Fire Safety Officer


Are you a qualified Fire Safety professional, experienced working within the Fire Safety sector with extensive knowledge of fire legislation?

About the Role 

Based at the DHB main hospital site in Lower Hutt, reporting to the Manager, Property and Facilities, you will be the DHB lead in regard to fire safety and compliance.

We are looking for a creative and inspirational team member who can interact confidently with a diverse range of healthcare professionals and external agencies. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, it is imperative that the applicant has the ability to build successful relationships.

Skills and Experience 

You will need to have a  relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent for the role. 

You will also need to have experience working within the Fire Safety sector, incident response/investigations and comfortable working within a risk management framework.  Ideally you will have knowledge of the health sector environment and the implications of this for your work. 

Ideally you will have well-developed problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to use Microsoft Office products.
