Mental Health Support Worker - CREDS

Contract: 1.0 FTE, permanent

About the Role
The Central Region Eating Disorder Service (CREDS) is looking for a dynamic, energetic Support Worker to join our unique multi-disciplinary team. This exciting role will focus on supporting individuals with eating disorders in a residential care setting based in Lower Hutt. Support Workers at CREDS prepare dietitian-led meals for vulnerable clients and support them as they journey to wellness. The salary is $61,000 - $77,000, depending on experience, qualifications and skillset.
About the Team/Service/ Location
CREDS offers treatment and therapy services to individuals with eating disorders, as part of the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAID) operated by the Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast District Health Boards. We provide a full range of specialist services to people with eating disorders in the greater Wellington area – from nutritional counselling, outpatient therapy and psycho-social education through to a 6-bed residential care facility and 7am-7pm therapeutic Day Programme.
CREDS is excited to welcome a Support Worker who can offer compassionate and respectful care to those with clients with eating disorders.

Essential:
- Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience supporting tangata whaiora
- Experience in food preparation
- Experience in household management
