Admin Support Officers - Breast Centre


We have the following positons available in our Breast Centre located at Hutt Hospital. 

  • Senior Admin/Data Support Officer - Permanent fulltime 
  • Support Officer - Permanent fulltime
  • Casual Admin Support Officer 

ABOUT THE SERVICE
The Breast Centre covers the greater Wellington region and comprises of:
• BreastScreen Central one of 8 Lead Providers for the BreastScreen Aotearoa screening programme; and
• The Breast Symptomatic Service, Hutt Valley District Health Board

ABOUT THE ROLES 
All three roles provide administration support to our multidisciplinary team within the Breast Centre based at Hutt Hospital.

Admin Support Officer:
This is a permanent, fulltime role.  It is varied and will cover reception at both our Hutt and Kenepuru Hospital sites. You will also be completing back office tasks such as call centre, booking/rebooking appointments and data entry.

Hours of work: you will work an 8 hour day between 7 am and 7 pm. You will also be required to work Saturdays on a rostered basis to cover reception for our Saturday clinics.

Casual Admin Support Officer:
You will provide casual cover for the Admin Support Officers so you’ll need to be available at short notice. You may be required to work full-time (or agreed part-time hours) to cover extended annual leave.

Senior Admin/Data Support Officer:
This is a permanent, fulltime role. The role will provide reception cover for the Breast Symptomatic clinic, for the BreastScreen Central booking coordinator and other duties provided by admin support.  You will also be expected to support our Data team with completion of audits and data administration.  A background within the health service and dealing with high level clinical data would be an advantage.

Hours of work: you will work an 8 hour day between 7 am and 7 pm.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
• A very high level of accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Excellent communication skills
• A wide range of administration skills
Proficient in microsoft word, excel and outlook
• Call centre experience would be an advantage
• Driver’s license is required
