Administration Officer

Salary: $70,970-78,397 (pro-rated)
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Administration team in our Radiology Services at Hutt Hospital. This role will suit someone with recent front line administration experience; who is friendly, helpful and has a professional attitude.
The Administration Officer is responsible for providing all aspects of administration, including but not limited to:
- General reception
- Patient bookings
- Telephone
- Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Picture Archive System (PACS)
This is a part-time role working 28 hours over 3-4 days per week (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri) in a supportive work environment. Roster availability is from 7am-5pm; and additional shifts may be available.

Moū – About you
We are seeking a person with excellent customer service skills who is skilled at listening to customers to assess their need, communicating effectively with a wide range of customers and manager customer expectations. You will need good computing skills with knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and Word. Experience in a frontline customer service role and general clerical experience is essential. Other skills and experience we are looking for include:
- Planning and organisation skills, ability to manage a range of tasks at one time and carry them through to completion
- Good communication skills, ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships, communicate effectively with others and express ides and/or information clearly – both verbally and in writing
- A team player; able to work with others to achieve team goals
- Ability to work independently without supervision, using initiative and work well under pressure
- Flexible, positive attitude to work
- Accurate and efficient work practices
