Administration Support Officer
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Fixed-term Parental Leave to January 2026, full-time

About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity based in our Reception/Outpatient departments, providing administration support. You will be joining our multi-disciplinary team working in a clinical environment.
As part of this role, you will provide clerical support to assist with the effective running for the service - scheduling and booking outpatient appointments, as well as answering patient enquiries.
About the Team/Service/Location
Outpatients covers various specialities including; Plastics, Cardiology, Rheumatology, ENT, Eyes, Audiology, General Outpatients, Diabetes, Respiratory & Paediatrics. We have a happy supportive team who work together to achieve the best outcomes for our people and their families.
About you
As an excellent communicator, you will have a positive, enthusiastic, innovative and proactive approach that exudes confidence in people. You will be team focused and have an adaptable approach to practice.
In order to be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Knowledge and experience in an administration role – preferably in the health sector
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple priorities
- Competence in using computer.
- Be able to learn new web based clinical applications required for the role
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team
- A sensitive approach to individualising care
- Excellent cultural awareness and safety
- Resilience in a very busy environment
