An exciting opportunity is available at Hutt Valley DHB to be an Associate Director of Nursing.
The purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership, advice and support to nursing staff in the Medical & Acute Care and Surgical and Women's & Children's Health service groups in order to build and maintain capability.
This is a professional leadership role, with no direct reports or financial responsibilities, reporting direct to the Hutt Valley DHB Director of Nursing.
You will have a key role in providing professional advice and expertise on nursing clinical practices, providing advice on the professional development requirements of nursing staff, and supporting the development of frameworks and processes which facilitate effective service provision.
You will be part of the senior nursing team, supporting and enabling the delivery of organisational priorities, managing risk and facilitating clinical and corporate governance activities related to nursing.
You will be a registered nurse with a relevant post graduate qualification and have a comprehensive knowledge of the NZ health system and DHB environment.
You will have an up to date knowledge of trends and emerging issues for the nursing profession and have had experience implementing innovative practice initiatives.
Significant experience working as a Nurse Manager / Leader is a complex multi-disciplinary healthcare environment will sought. You must be able to work at both strategic and operational level and have well developed interpersonal skills.
