Advanced Physiotherapist - Acute Frailty and Vestibular

About the Role 

Salary: $111,240 - $117, 420

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Physiotherapy position at Hutt Hospital. This position is based in the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit MAPU and Emergency Department ED. This role also carries an outpatient caseload managing vestibular patients. If you are a motivated and experienced physiotherapist, with an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of working with patients presenting with vestibular conditions and managing a diverse and complex caseload in the acute setting, then this may be the position for you. The successful candidate will have excellent clinical and communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team and providing mentorship and support to others.

About the Team/Service Location 

The Physiotherapy Department at Hutt Hospital provides physiotherapy services to patients/clients within the hospital and primary care setting. Services are provided on all of the inpatient wards including Medical Assessment and Planning Unit (MAPU) and Emergency Department (ED). Outpatient services are provided within the hospital or based in GP clinics.

About you 

  • Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Board
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Advanced level of clinical knowledge in acute care and management of the frail older adult
  • Previous experience working with vestibular conditions
  • Knowledge and understanding of service development and quality improvement
  • The ability to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
