Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

The Anaesthetic Technicians at Hutt Hospital provide first class patient care working within a friendly multi-disciplinary team. You will assist in the provision of team focused perioperative care for patients undergoing surgery and be responsible for assisting the anaesthetist in the preparation, planning and implementations of anaesthesia.

The Hutt Anaesthetic Technician team has a reputation for being friendly, inclusive and diverse. We have some new graduates and some very skilled practitioners to guide and coach you until you are feeling confident with your practice. This may include plastic and reconstruction surgery and the treatment of burns patients. We will support you every step of the way. 

Moū – About you


You will be a qualified Anaesthetic Technician, registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand or have completed an approved training programme.
