Casual Kitchen Assistant
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Casual Kitchen Assistant (Rostered and Rotating)

About the Role
In this position, your main responsibility would be to prepare and serve meals to patients in the hospital wards. You will collaborate closely with our kitchen team to assist in simple food preparation, clean dishes using an industrial dishwasher, arrange plates, and ensure a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment. We have three shifts available in the Kitchen 7am-4pm, 10:30-7pm and 4pm-7pm, this job is basically a cover for all the shifts mentioned above. Candidates with flexible availability would be given preference.

We are a group of 46 individuals with diverse backgrounds, united by our commitment to delivering high-quality and delicious meals to our patients, staff, and visitors. Despite our busy workday, we find joy in sharing laughter amongst ourselves. We strongly promote a collaborative team atmosphere.
About you
We are seeking an individual who is experienced in working with a team, coupled with a positive and proactive mind-set. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to operating within a fast-paced team setting. Proficiency in multitasking, displaying punctuality, and exhibiting respect for deadlines are essential qualities. Moreover, the candidate should excel in handling work pressure working at Health New Zealand.
