Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
This Charge Nurse Manager position is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership for our Rehabilitation & Surgical inpatient wards based at Kenepuru Hospital. This position is responsible for 64 FTE nursing staff and the overall management of the wards working closely with Rehabilitation and Surgical specialties and Allied Health. The wards include a range of clinical presentations who are requiring rehabilitation or restorative care after an acute event or planned surgery - including neurology, stroke, orthopaedics, general surgery and vascular surgery. The CNM role is key in ensuring clinically safe, efficient and effective service delivery and supporting flow out of Wellington Regional Hospital.

Kenepuru inpatient wards are a collegial workplace with staff who are passionate about providing holistic evidence-based care. You will be supported in this role by experienced ACNMs, educators and multidisciplinary teams. You will be part of a leadership team contributing to the strategic direction for inpatient Older Persons & Rehabilitation services working alongside the Charge Nurse Manager for Kenepuru Health of Older Persons inpatient wards along with the Nurse Director, Clinical Leader for ORA services and Allied Health leaders.

You will have a passion for providing the best clinical care and growing teams to improve the experience of patients.

This role is part of the Community, Allied Health & Older Adults Group within the Inpatient Older Persons, Rehabilitation & Allied Health service.
Our group of services include Older Persons & Rehabilitation wards including – Hutt Valley Older Persons and Rehabilitation, Kenepuru Health of Older Persons, Rehabilitation and Surgical wards and the Acute Frailty Unit at Wellington Regional Hospital.
