About the Role

This position will provide additional administration support to our current administration team within our co located Endoscopy and Medical Day stay units. Duties include but not limited to: Frontline clerical/administration/reception duties, clerical support to medical and nursing team. Referrals management, waitlist scheduling, as well as outpatient and Medical Day Stay appointment bookings. From time to time meeting minute taking may also be required.

The Clinical Administration Support will provide a high-quality customer service to patients attending the Endoscopy and Medical Day Stay Service. The role is 0.6 FTE across the working week. The applicant must be available to work on a Friday.

This role is 24 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The salary range for this position is $76,000 to $84,000, depending on experience.

About the Team/Service Location

Our busy combined Endoscopy and Medical Day Stay provide a comprehensive range of services for our Hutt Valley population. This includes diagnostic and interventional Gastroenterological procedures and an Outpatients service. Our medical Day Stay provides an extensive range of treatments including intravenous infusions such as iron and blood transfusions as well as specialized medications for patients with long term conditions.

About you

You will have excellent customer service skills and be patient focused. You will ideally have previous administration experience in a healthcare setting with a good understanding of medical terminology. You will be a team player who can take initiative and be flexible and adaptable to the day-to-day changes in workload demands. You will be someone who is calm under pressure and thrives in a busy environment.
