Clinical Nurse Specialist - Heart Function


Location: Kenepuru and Wellington Regional Hospitals

Contract: Permanent Part Time 0.6 FTE

About the Role 

The cardiology department is excited to be expanding the team of clinical nurse specialists. This role specifically is focussed on managing people with a diagnosis of reduced heart function. The role involves working with a small team to provide expert care and advice, education and medical optimisation in nurse-led clinics.  Registered Nurse Prescribing is a requirement for this role.

The Cardiology team is passionate about their work. The team is excited to welcome a new member to the senior nursing team. There are opportunities to be supported into the role from an experienced, enthusiastic and committed team of professionals. About you 

We are looking for an experienced nurse who is, or is ready to become an expert in the field. You will be passionate about providing equitable, expert care to patients and their whānau living with cardiac conditions. You will be able to apply your advanced nursing practice to ensure quality outcomes for patients and demonstrate the effectiveness of specialist nurse-led services. You will be excited about nurse-led cardiac services and demonstrate agility in clinical, inter-personal and scholarly environments.
