Clinical Psychologist - Child Development Service
Location: Hutt Hospital
Hours: 24 per week (0.6 FTE)
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to work with us in our Child Development Service in the Hutt Valley as part of an experienced psychology team. Our role is permanent part time working 24 hours per week.
As our new team member you will be working in the field of child disability with children aged between two years and 16 years of age and their families.
You will also be part of an interdisciplinary team of experienced occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists and a developmental paediatrician.
In this role you will be part of a developmental assessment team who contribute to parent education, so you will need to enjoy taking part in parent education seminars and community education.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Have an in-depth understanding of disability and experience in the use of a wide range of psychometric measures and the ADOS.
- Experience in working with children with disabilities and their families
- Registered with New Zealand Psychologists Board with current annual practising certificate
