An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of our Gastroenterology service at Hutt Valley DHB.  This role can be a SMO or a Fellow who has some time to complete. This is an excellent opportunity as we enter the roll out of the national bowel screening programme with Hutt Valley being one of the first DHBs in the country to lead this change.  This role will have an emphasis on quality endoscopy provision but we do have flexibility to tailor the position to best fit the right person so apply today!

Hutt Valley DHB provides secondary services for a population of approximately 148,000, with 24-hour acute and elective care in general and orthopaedic surgery, medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, cardiology, regional rheumatology, regional burns and plastics, psychiatry, rehabilitation, gastroenterology and paediatrics. 

We are seeking a specialist who is a keen Gastroenterologist providing inpatient consults, endoscopy and outpatient services. The role is a permanent role with negotiable hours.

You’ll need a strong commitment to comprehensive care encompassed within Gastroenterology, including full involvement in the acute roster. You’ll be eligible for Vocational Scope Registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.
