Contract: Fixed term Maternity leave cover (0.8 FTE)
Salary: NZNO Meca $81,683 - $106,739 based on skills and experience pro rata
Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join the District Nursing service to cover Maternity leave.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is interested in developing skills in the community. Once orientated to the General District Nursing role there will be additional opportunity to orientate to supporting the Stomal therapy team whilst the current DN Stomal therapy is on Maternity leave.
District Nursing provides a variety of specialist nursing services and is part of the network of community based health care delivery services that aims to work in partnership with others to support treatment, rehabilitation, long term condition management and enable individuals to maximise their independence.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team
Our team is made of District Nurses, Associate Clinical Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists Health Care Assistants and Admin support. The team supports skill acquisition through a comprehensive orientation program and encourages you to expand your knowledge and skills.
The CHS Stoma team is part of the CHS team and is currently moving though a transition phase where we are supporting a new CNS Stomal therapist in the first part of next year. We then plan to support this role with skill acquisition to provide additional support for this team.

We are keen to hear from Registered Nurses who are interested in working in the community environment and integrating with other members of the community health care team.
An interest in Wound Care and Stomal therapy along with a commitment to addressing health disparities is an advantage.
