Contract: Permanent - 24 hours per week - rostered and rotating shifts
Salary: $40,000 - $48,000
About the role
Health Care Assistants are essential members of our maternity team, and as a health care assistant working in maternity you will be supporting the midwives and nurses to provide excellent care to the mothers and babies in our region.
Working as part of our team you will ensure that our birthing and postnatal environment is clean and well stocked, support the nursing and midwifery staff to provide effective care and education, monitor equipment, provide administrative support after hours and help welcome mothers and whanau to our unit.
This role is a permanent part time role working 24 hours per week, and includes rostered and rotating shifts.
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Have good written communication skills (possibly in an administration role)
- Are able to work in a team environment
- Can get along with a wide variety people
- Are comfortable cleaning, as our role does involve cleaning of our birthing and post natal environments
