Medical Imaging Technologist
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Full Time 1.0 FTE Rostered and Rotating

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the General/CT MIT team in our Radiology Services at Hutt Valley DHB.
We are looking for enthusiastic Medical Imaging Technologists who are registered with NZIMRT and who hold a current practising certificate to join our team. Our positions involves all aspects of General Radiology - Emergency, Theatre, Fluoroscopy and general outpatients.
In addition, we are also seeking applicants with CT training. You will be working as part of a team that is small enough to know your name but big enough to be exciting!
Hutt Hospital Radiology provides a 24/7 radiology roster and you will required to be part of a rotating roster and CT on call (if applicable). About the Team/Service/Location
The Radiology Department serves the population of the Hutt Valley and Wairarapa areas. The Department receive a wide variety of clinical referrers, including Regional Plastic Surgery and Rheumatology services as well as referral from 2 Emergency Departments providing X-Rays, ultrasounds, MRI and CT scans.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Computing skills
- Excellent customer service skills, skilled at listening to customers to assess their needs, communicating effectively with a wide range of customers and managing customer expectations
- Planning and organising skills, ability to manage a range of tasks at one time and carry them through to completion
- Good communication skills, ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships, communicate effectively with others and express ides and/or information clearly – both verbally and in writing
- High level if interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds, able to assert oneself confidently and tactfully
- Ability to manage a high degree of confidentiality and manage sensitive information
Essential Professional Qualifications / Accreditations / Registrations:
- Relevant Diagnostic Medical Imaging Technologist qualification
- Current registration and practicing certificate with Medical Imaging Technologist Board
- Current CPD in line with appropriate professional standards
- Well-developed general radiographic skills including emergency, ward, outpatient, theatre and mobile work
- Ability to work with a range of radiographic equipment
