Part-time Kitchen Assistant

About the Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for our patients in the hospital wards! Your main responsibility will be to prepare and serve meals, working hand in hand with our friendly kitchen team. You'll get to assist with simple food preparation, ensuring everything is fresh and delicious, while also keeping our dishes sparkling clean using our industrial dishwasher. Plus, you'll be instrumental in arranging plates beautifully and maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on our patients’ day while enjoying a collaborative and supportive atmosphere with your colleagues!
The core working hours for this role are 4pm–7pm, rostered and rotating across Monday to Sunday.

About you
In this position, you'll play a vital
role in the daily operations of our hospital by preparing and serving meals to
patients in the wards. Your main focus will be on ensuring that patients
receive nutritious and appealing meals, which can have a positive impact on
their recovery. Working closely with our friendly kitchen team, you'll assist
in simple food preparation tasks, helping to chop vegetables, portion out
servings, and get everything ready for cooking.
You'll also be responsible for cleaning dishes using our industrial dishwasher, making sure that everything is spotless and ready for the next meal service. Keeping the kitchen environment clean and organised is essential, so you'll take part in tasks like arranging plates neatly and ensuring that the workspace is hygienic. This attention to cleanliness not only helps us maintain high health standards but also contributes to a smooth-running kitchen.
