About the Role
ICAFS is seeking a registered Psychologist to join our Kaiārahi team. Our Kaiārahi team provides evidence-based interventions and comprehensive psychological assessments for young people with moderate-to-severe mental health difficulties. You will work alongside young people and their families to work towards their goals. As part of this work, you will also liaise and consult with hospital and community partners, such as local schools and Oranga Tamariki to support the wellbeing of our young people.
About the Team/Service/ Location
ICAFS is a community-based team that provide specialist assessment and treatment for 0 – 18 year olds and their families/ whanau in the Hutt Valley. We offer a range of therapeutic approaches as well as having two specialist treatment teams, family therapy (with a screening team) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). We work closely with our primary partners, including supporting young people at a local care a protection residence. We have a large team of passionate clinicians, including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and psychotherapists that you would be working closely alongside. We have clinicians with a range of experience and are known to provide excellent support to trainees, interns and new graduates who are frequently working within our service. Our service utilises the CAPA (Choice and Partnership Approach) Framework.
About you
- Ability to provide high quality psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Experience in risk identification and management.
- Previous experience in child and adolescent mental health.
- Hold New Zealand registration as a Psychologist and be eligible for a current practicing certificate.
