Quality Coordinator - MHAIDS
ABOUT THE SERVICE
The Mental Health, Addiction and Intellectual Disability Service (MHAIDS) spans three DHBs - Wairarapa, Hutt Valley and Capital and Coast DHB’s and includes local, regional, and national services. The local MHAIDS services are provided from multiple sites within the 3DHB sub-region – greater Wellington, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa. Te Korowai Whariki services include regional forensic and rehabilitation services covering the Central region while the intellectual disability services extend the length and breadth of the country from six bases located in Whangarei, Auckland, Cambridge, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.
The core business of the Service is the provision of quality specialist services, integrated with primary and secondary providers in the communities we serve.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the MHAIDS Quality and Risk Manager the Quality Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting continuous quality improvement. This is a new and significant role where you will be working across all Regional Forensic and Rehabilitation Services and the Intellectual Disability Services.
You will work in collaboration with the MHAIDS Quality and Risk Manager and Operational Managers to develop the role that supports two of our largest services. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in wider quality improvement activities across the three District Health Boards Mental Health Services.
- Lead and implement improvement projects
- Support teams to use improvement tools and methods to identify and / or embed improvement initiative
- Support and embed compliance activities to support continuous quality improvement
- Proven experience working in the health sector
- Understanding of quality and service improvement
- Knowledge and or experience of risk management principles
