About the role

Registered Nurse role in Children's Ward at Hutt Valley Hospital. Permanent part- time position 0.8 FTE is available. We are looking for nurses who have a passion for working with infants/children/adolescents and their families.

About the Team/Service/ Location

 The Children's Ward is a busy multi-speciality area where you will have the opportunity to care for acute medical and surgical patients and develop specialised skills in burns and plastics surgery nursing.

It is an exciting opportunity to join our team and work in partnership with babies/children/adolescents and their families. 

The Children's Ward is a busy unit with quality driven, patient focused environment and dynamic and supportive team. Team members are professional and friendly. We have a multi-disciplinary team approach to provide best outcomes for our patients.

About you

 Applicants should have:

  • Current New Zealand Practicing Certificate
  • Paediatric experience and resilience in a very busy environment
  • Are team focus and have positive attitude
  • Have excellent time management and communication skills
  • Have passion for working with infants/children/adolescence and their families
