Registered Nurse- For Paediatric Community Nurse
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time (0.9 FTE), Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm

About the Role
Paediatric Ambulatory Service (Children’s Outpatient, Paediatric Community, Paediatric Day Stay). An opportunity has arisen for registered nurses to join the paediatric community nursing team. We are looking for nurses who have a passion for working with babies/children/adolescents and their families in an inpatient setting and in the community. It is a permanent part-time role working 0.9 FTE as the Paediatric Community Nurse. Paediatric community nurse has their own workload in the community. This role also includes running nurse led clinics.
About the Team/Service Location
Paediatric
Ambulatory Service is a busy service which provides care to patients in the
community and also in an inpatient setting. The role works within wider
multidisciplinary team including the paediatricians, children’s ward and
community services.
It is an exciting opportunity to work with the
team in Children’s Outpatient, Community Nurses and Children’s Ward. You will
be working in partnership with babies, children and adolescents and their
families. You will have the opportunity to care for medical and surgical
patients.
Paediatric Ambulatory team at Hutt Valley district is
dynamic. Team members are professional, friendly and team focused. We have a
multi-disciplinary team approach to provide best outcomes for our patients.

About you
To be successful, you should have:
- Current Practicing Certificate.
- Post grad qualification or working towards one.
- Paediatric experience and resilience in a very busy environment.
- Have excellent time management and communication skills.
- Are team focused and have positive attitude and caring manner.
