Registered Nurse - Medical Day Stay

Contract:  Permanent, 0.7 FTE Rostered and Rotating (Monday-Friday)

About the Role 

As a registered nurse in the Medical Day Stay unit you will be part of a small but dynamic team delivering a range of intravenous infusions for patients with acute and long term conditions. Our service plays a pivotal role in keeping people out of hospital and enabling people with lifelong conditions to continue to live life well. 

About the Team/Service Location 

We are a small team providing a high quality infusional service to the patients living in our community and district. We also provide pre and post care to patients having radiological interventions. The delivery of care to our patients is well supported by medical and Allied Health staff. 

We are co-located in the Endoscopy/Gastroenterology unit with a shared staffing model. The role is predominantly working within Medical Day Stay, however, from time to time there may be a requirement to provide support to the Endoscopy team.

About you 

We are looking for a Registered nurse who has experience working in the NZ health care setting and has relevant nursing skills. General medical nursing experience would be an advantage along with additional technical skills such IV cannulation/phlebotomy.  The successful candidate must have a can do attitude, be flexible and also be committed to developing and maintaining relevant specialist knowledge.
