Registered Nurse / Nurse Educator - Intensive Care Unit

Contract:  Permanent, Part Time 0.8 FTE

About the Role 

Throughout the week the Nurse Educator will facilitate training, education, orientation and develop the nursing workforce.  Plan and lead nursing education and any change implementation, with a focus on best practice which meet health and safety standards. The training will occur in both clinical and non-clinical settings with an emphasis on evaluation. Reporting lines for this role will be confirmed at a later date.

About the Team

We are an eight bedded unit with a multi-cultural team who provide care to both adults and paediatric patients, with a specialty focus on head and neck/burns patients.  It is a thriving and expanding unit which now offers renal dialysis. We provide excellent care to both intensive care and high dependency patients.  It is a supportive environment that encourages openness, honesty, inclusiveness, and opportunities for educational development

About you 

The Nurse Educator will have:

• Sound clinical practice
• Expert in education delivery, informed by assessing the nursing team’s education needs and outcomes
• Provide clinical expertise and work alongside staff in the management of complex/challenging clinical cases
• Be working towards Masters qualifications related to critical care nursing
