Registered Nurse - Operating Theatre
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Permanent part time (0.8 - 0.9 FTE) available- Rostered and Rotating

About the role
Hutt Hospital has eight operating theatres and we are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our friendly, hardworking and welcoming team. We are the regional centre for Plastics, Burns, Maxillofacial and Reconstructive Surgery, we also provide services for obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental and acute trauma.
We will provide plenty of opportunities for RN’s to develop their knowledge and skills across all our specialties. We are also open to training a new graduate RN (NETP completed) who possesses the passion required to excel in this highly demanding environment.
About the Team/Service/ Location
This is a fast-paced, quality driven, patient focused environment, with a dynamic and supportive team. The Theatre nurses at Hutt Valley Hospital work closely within an approachable and sociable environment. Our Nurses are well supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated nurse educators.

- Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- A high level of professionalism and communication
- the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Solid crisis-management skills
- Positive ‘Can do’ attitude
