Salary:      NZNO Meca - Step 3 - Step 7 pro rata for part time

Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the role

The Registered Nurse – Operations Centre provides support to all clinical areas across the hospital on a shift by shift basis, performing a vital role in enabling the continuity of high quality care delivery in times of increased demand.  No two days are the same!  You will be a permanent staff member with rostered shifts – achieving a happy work/life balance is valued, and we welcome discussion around shift preference and flexibility.     

Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team

The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) team includes the Duty Nurse Managers, causal/bureau/allocation nursing and healthcare assistant staff, Transit and Variance Response nursing and the National Travel Assistance service. Together these groups of staff work towards positively supporting patient care, risk, flow and overall site management after hours. We are a dynamic team that strive to do our best for the community we serve.

Moū – About you

Successful candidates will have at least 3 years’ acute care nursing – across a variety of clinical settings is an additional advantage. We are looking for nurses who love variety in their day and can adjust quickly to different working environments.  You will bring a positive, can-do approach to everything you do and have a passion for providing safe and contemporary nursing care.  You must have a commitment to Te Tiriti, patient and whānau centred care and cultural safety, and to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.  A New Zealand APC and prior experience working in a New Zealand health care setting is essential.
