Registered Nurse - Perioperative

About the role

Hutt Hospital has an eight theatre suite. We are a dynamic and innovative provider of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery involving multi-disciplinary teams; along with services for obstetrics and gynaecological, ENT, general, orthopaedics, dental, maxillofacial, and acute services.

We are looking for Registered Nurses within the Operating Theatre. We are happy to consider nurses who are interested in theatre but have not yet had the opportunity to work in this specialised area.

There will be opportunities to expand and develop knowledge and skills across the specialties. This enables you to become a part of a close-knit team and support the patient’s throughout their perioperative journey. The salary range for this role is NZNO Meca $75,773.00 - $106,739.00.

The Theatre nurses at Hutt Valley Hospital are part of a close-knit team and work within an approachable and sociable environment. Nurses are well supported by a strong leadership team and dedicated nurse educators.

  • Current New Zealand Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
  • A high level of professionalism and communication, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Great crisis-management skills
  • Positive ‘Can do’ attitude
