Registered Nurse - Radiology
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Casual 0.5 FTE Rostered and Rotating, working between 0800 and 1700 with mostly day shifts or 1200-2000 shifts (no night shifts). Weekends included for dayshifts.

About the Role
Thi role is focussed mainly for CT and MRI patient care; working in a team environment at Hutt Radiology Department. There is also the opportunity to work in other areas of the Radiology Department, for example; Interventions.
The Registered Nurse (RN) - Radiology:
- Provides support for all Hutt Hospital Radiology staff to enable high quality service delivery across the Hospital.
- Supports the establishment of a culture of continuous improvement that links Hutt Hospital Radiology service activities to overall hospital operational strategies.
- Fosters excellence in operational standards and professional conduct for the Service.
- Supports new and innovative ideas which improve patient experience and outcomes.
- Identifies emerging issues, risks, threats and opportunities early and mitigates these
About the Team/Service Location
We are a friendly, professional and dedicated team of approximately 80 staff; with a ‘Can Do’ attitude who ensure the best possible care for our patients. Our team includes: Radiologists, Medical Imaging Technologists, Sonographers, MRI Technologists, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Administration/Bookings Team, and Data/IT/Quality staff. About you
- Essential Professional Qualifications / Accreditations / Registrations skills and experience:
- Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
- A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and scope appropriate to place of work
- 3 year’s minimum post-graduation, preferably with experience in a variety of clinical settings
- Current IV skills preferred including CVAD, cannulation and PCA
- Good computer skills with the ability to learn new applications
- Level 6 Resus skills; ideally with ED experience
- Demonstrates an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in the nursing role
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
- A personal commitment to on-going learning and development including attainment/maintenance of PDRP
