Registered Nurse / Tapuhi Rēhita - Paediatrics
Location: Hutt Hospital - Children's Ward
Contract: Permanent - full part time
Hours: Rostered and rotating shifts- actual hours (FTE) are negotiable
Children’s Ward is a busy 16 bed ward which caters for medical and surgical patients and provides regional service for Paediatric Burns and Plastics patients.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity available to work in a multi-speciality ward. You will be working in partnership with babies, children, adolescents and their families, and have the opportunity to care for acute medical and surgical patients and to develop skills in burns and plastic surgery nursing. We are looking for nurses who have a passion for working with babies/children/adolescents and their families.
Our team is growing and we have newly created positions available for both full and part time hours.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Acute nursing experience and resilience in a very busy environment
- Excellent time management communication skills
- Team focused and have positive attitude
- Passion for and experience working with babies/children and their families
You must be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and hold a current APC and work visa. Ideally you will have at least one year’s paediatric nursing experience in NZ and have worked in a similar role.
