About the Role
The position of Orderly/Security Orderly is dynamic and multifaceted, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of hospital services. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient transportation of patients, medical records, equipment, and clinical waste to designated areas within the facility. This role requires exceptional customer service skills to interact professionally with both patients and staff, as well as the ability to adhere to strict timeframes and manage the physical demands inherent in the role. Previous experience in a healthcare setting or in a comparable position would be advantageous, as it would facilitate a smoother transition and a deeper understanding of the protocols and expectations associated with this vital position
This is a full‑time position (40 hours per week), rostered and rotating Monday to Friday. Shifts include early (7:30am starts), standard day (8:00am starts), and late shifts finishing at 4:00pm. Rostered rotation applies.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $29.25 - $32.92.

By working effectively alongside other healthcare staff across the organisation, our orderlies play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming and safe hospital environment for all.

- Relevant experience (advantageous): Experience as an orderly or in security within healthcare or similar environments.
- A clear criminal history
- High integrity and reliability: Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, and trustworthiness.
