Service Administrator
Location: Hutt Valley Hospital
Contract: Permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE)

About the Role
This is an exciting and diverse position that offers the opportunity to broaden your knowledge across a range of systems and processes. We are seeking an organised and proactive individual who can provide high-quality administrative and personal assistant support to ensure the smooth running of our service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines to deliver excellent service.
- Collaborate with service administrators to provide timely, professional, and high-quality administrative support.
- Identify and implement improvements where necessary.
- Navigate and manage database systems confidently.
The role works 32 hours per week, between Monday - Friday. Days and hours worked are negotiable with the successful candidate. The salary range is $72,035 – $79,573 pro-rata.
About the Team
The Women and Children’s Health Service is a secondary provider of Obstetrics, Gynaecology, and Child Health services. This role works closely with the Operations Manager, Clinical Leaders and Nursing/Midwifery Managers within the service. You will be part of a supportive team committed to delivering exceptional care.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual with experience in administration and personal assistant duties. You will thrive in a collaborative environment and be able to adapt to a variety of tasks. Excellent communications skills, experience with database system administration and strong interpersonal skills are vital.
Other skills and experience we are looking for:
- Advanced computing and data handling skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to interpret situations outside your immediate scope of work.
- HR administration experience (e.g., employment documentation, onboarding).
- Processing invoices and expenses.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven experience in administration management.
- Meeting coordination, including agenda preparation and minute taking.
