Speciality Clinical Nurse - Technician
Location: Hutt Hospital
Contract: Permanent, Part Time 0.2 FTE

About the Role
The role requires a technical support presence at the beginning of the week and end of the week to liaise with the supply department, commercial sectors and companies to ensure supplies are present, in correct working order and meeting health and safety and quality standards. Opportunities for education to keep staff knowledge of products within the ICU service will be required.
About the Team/Service Location
We are an eight bedded unit with a multi-cultural team who provide care to both adults and paediatric patients, with a specialty focus on head and neck/burns patients. It is a thriving and expanding unit which now offers renal dialysis. We provide excellent care to both intensive care and high dependency patients. It is a supportive environment that encourages openness, honesty and inclusiveness and with opportunities for educational development.
About you
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Existing knowledge about procurement and the supply department.
- The ability to support technological changes within the unit implementing them through support and education.
- Maintain an organizational service by using evidence clinical based practice for the service.
- Effective communication and work with medical companies and representatives.
- Must have an intensive care course or relevant post graduate qualification desirable.
